• Types of Law/Sources of Law/List of current UK employment legislation

• Legal Principles and Processes – Overview

• Legislation Prior to Employment – Recruitment and Selection: good practice

• Anti –Discrimination Legislation including Bullying and Harassment

• Contracts – The Employment Relationship

• Statutory Rights, Staff Handbooks and Personnel Files

• Family Friendly Rights e.g. maternity, paternity and flexible working practices

• Discipline and Grievance, including managing Conduct and Capability

• Termination of Employment – dismissals, retirement and redundancy

• Course Evaluation and Close
